If you are familiar with Sun Valley, you are probably very familiar with the ties it has to Ernest Hemingway. If you aren’t…let me introduce you.
It is said that Ernest Hemingway found his greatest inspiration for writing in Sun Valley. He spent much of his time there, writing, hunting, fishing and adventuring. There is a great article about his life there here: http://www.cowboysindians.com/2016/06/hemingways-idaho/
You can find his grave here in the Ketchum Cemetery often covered with coins for wishes or bottles of alcohol for much the same. There is a monument past the Sun Valley Lodge in his honor. It is an amazing place to reflect and sit in the quiet.
